Contact

Call before 3pm and most jobs land a walkthrough the same week.

Reach the shop by phone, email or the form below. Tell us the symptom, the room and whether anyone's home during the day, and we'll tell you what it usually is before we ever pick up a screwdriver.

Evening and Saturday slots exist because half our calls come from people who work during the week and don't want a stranger alone in an empty apartment. Say so when you call and we'll book around it.

Outside our scope

Whole-house rewires, service upgrades past 200 amp and generator or solar interconnects go to a licensed contractor we can name when you call. We'd rather send you to the right shop than take a job we can't finish in two visits.

What to have ready before calling

  • The exact room and fixture, outlet or breaker number if the panel is labeled — "hallway switch" gets us there faster than "something upstairs."
  • Whether the breaker trips immediately, after a few minutes, or only when a specific appliance runs.
  • The age of the building, roughly — knob-and-tube and aluminum branch wiring change what a swap involves.
  • Whether you're renting. We can email a landlord the written scope directly if that's faster than relaying it.
  • Access notes — gate code, parking, a dog that needs shutting in a room before the crew knocks.

If it can't wait for a callback

A dead outlet is rarely urgent. A breaker that won't reset, or a switch that's warm to the touch, is. Cut power to that circuit at the panel and call.

Warm or buzzing switch

Shut the breaker off and don't use the switch again until we've looked at it. Loose backstab connections heat up under load and that's the most common cause we find.

Breaker won't reset at all

Leave it off. A breaker that trips instantly on reset, with nothing plugged in, usually means a short in the wiring itself rather than a bad appliance.

Not sure it's an emergency

Call anyway. Ten minutes on the phone tells us whether it's a same-day visit or something that can sit until the walkthrough we already booked.
